Lessons Learned About Life and Love
Now Available for Reviews
_________________________________
In her second book "Lessons Learned About Life and Love", Vivianne shares some of the lessons she has learned from writers and thinkers such as Dr. Wayne Dyer and Dr. Viktor Frankl, weaving them into her own experiences in a compelling guide to living, loving, and thriving in old age. Her insights offer proof that great wisdom is not gained only from the classroom or the lecture hall, and that one need not look far to understand the secrets to live well. From anecdotes about her everyday rituals to memories from her world travels, Vivianne captures the profound and often surprising moments of enlightenment that can be found right in front of us, if we only know where- and how to look.

Bone Necklace

Bone Necklace was inspired by the Nez Perce War of 1877, which was described in a contemporaneous newspaper account as “a gigantic blunder and a crime.” The U.S. Army field commander, General Oliver “Uh Oh” Howard, had promised to make “short work” of the Nez Perce. Instead, for four months, he pursued them across 1,100 miles of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana, only to be humiliated in the end.
Few accounts of the war, then or now, acknowledge that more than 40% of the tribe escaped from the Bears Paw Battlefield. Even today, there is a small Nez Perce diaspora in Canada, where they have lived in peace since 1877.
Bone Necklace is for them – the ones who never gave up. Who brought knives to a gunfight. Who in some cases had nothing but clubs made of wood and stone. Everyone had written them off. And yet they came through with their freedom still intact.

Hopeless Romantic: The Untold History of Ethiopia
Available Soon

Hopeless Romantic explores the discoveries of Deacon Dawit Muluneh as a Ph.D. Student in Ethiopian Studies at CUA. He was surprised to learn that the history of Ethiopia has often been told by scholars through the lens of colonizers and decided to shed light on this to the general public as a whole, but particularly to the Ethiopian-Americans residing here in America. In addition, he learned that contrary to what many think about Africa, Ethiopia was once a major empire that was even compared to the empire of Rome!
Inspired by the current conflicts in Ethiopia, he decided to write a book that was non-political but instead educational on the history of Ethiopia based on these discoveries from above. Furthermore, to captivate readers he tells the history of Ethiopia through the metaphor of love that exists between a husband and a wife.
As a writer, and as an aspiring future Ethiopian scholar, his goal is to tell the history of Ethiopia accurately and correct the many misconceptions that exist about Africa, and particularly Ethiopia.
